Torsion Group Achieves the New ISO 45001 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

Torsion Group has become one of the first UK construction companies to successfully migrate from OHSAS 18001 (outgoing Health and Safety Standard) to the new international ISO 45001 standard.

The certification has been achieved by our commitment to creating a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment.

Launched in March 2018, ISO 450001 is a new international standard designed to ensure organisations around the world operate in a consistent, healthy and safe manner. It was designed as a successor to the 20-year-old OHSAS 18001 standard and covers areas including hazard identification, assessment of risks, emergency plans and responses, external communication, as well as management review.

Managing Director Gary Walton said: “We are dedicated to continually improve occupational health and safety for our everyone that is involved in our operations; by ensuring we provide the safest possible work environment. We are delighted to be one of the first construction companies to achieve the new international standard.”
